ATAPUERCA AND ROBUSTA. EXPLORING THE HUMAN RACE'S FIRST STEPS TOGETHER
Sometimes we need to take a step back before making strides forward. This is why Robusta has been working with the Atapuerca Foundation since 2006, developing models specially designed for the archaeologists working on the site and becoming the official supplier of the Foundation since then.
Comfortable and light desert colour cowhide footwear for meticulous everyday work in caves such as the Sima de los Huesos, the Sima de los Elefantes or the Gran Dolina, where the remains of the oldest hominid in Europe (800,000 years) was found, Homo Antecessor.
Every year we also donate a sum of money for research work carried out by the Foundation in Atapuerca (Burgos) on the study of the origins of the first European hominids.
As well as the Atapuerca Foundation, Robusta, faithful to its commitment to science and progress, maintains its scientific leadership by sponsoring non-profit entities that provide high added value in terms of the dissemination of knowledge. It has worked on the development of special footwear for the Hesperia international expedition to the Antarctic, and works with the Museum of Natural Sciences in Arnedo on a regular basis.
This commitment has become one of the hallmarks of the company, as shown by its motto (Scientific Footwear), and it is reflected in its commitment to Research, Development and Innovation and scientific patronage.
